More on Wilber
/
Been thinking of the curving-the-bullet scene in “Wanted” over the last week.
Sure, you can make it about curving bullets or making something happen out there that your normal way of being says is impossible.
I’ve been playing with me and me.
I think it’s as simple as me wanting something.
To do something, to say something, to make something.
Doesn’t really matter what the what is.
I’m standing at one end of the firing range and I want to hit the target.
Preferably a bull’s eye.
Then Wilber shows up.
Damn Wilber.
Could be emotions.
Could be meaning-makings.
Could be thoughts.
Could be considerations.
Could be just about anything.
I have been taught that I have to not only acknowledge Wilber, I have to interact with him.
I have to treat Wilber as if I have to engage with however he’s showing up in order to get done what I want to get done.
I don’t.
Not talking about denial.
If I’m in denial of Wilber, my bullet is going to impact in him and not the target.
Seems that I have to take Wilber into account and not interact with him.
“Yes, I am scared at contemplating doing that.”
“Yes, I have failed at this exact thing 24 times.”
“Yes, they might say no.”
“Yes, they might laugh at me.”
“Yes, it was pretty damn awful the last time.”
And that’s it.
Now, taking that into account, how do I want to hit the target?
What kind of spin do I need to put on my bullet, the thing that I’m using to get what I want, to get past Wilber and into the bull’s eye?
Don’t need to heal Wilber.
Don’t need to integrate Wilber.
Don’t need to reconcile Wilber.
Don’t need to change Wilber. Just need to do what I need to do to hit the bull’s eye. Interesting, eh?
